Organization
As scientific directors and speakers of this joint initiative serve the four senior researchers D. Raabe and F. Roters (MPIE) and P. Gumbsch and H. Riedel (IWM).
Formally, the research directions are distributed over four integrated projects. Projects 1 and 2, which are inclined towards fundamental issues of metal physics and homogenization theory are mainly associated with the MPIE. The more application-driven Projects 3 and 4 on the other hand are focussed on by the IWM.
